Allen Johnson, the world 110m outdoor champion, won in 7.47secs ahead of Sydney Olympic gold medallist Anier Garcia, who clocked 7.49secs. In third place behind the American and Cuban came Liu Xiang, world junior record holder, in 7.52secs. Another personal best lifted Frenchman Ladji Doucoure to fourth in 7.58secs.
