Athena(R) Thin Clients Wins a Multi Million Deal in Russia.


BREDA, Netherlands -- Athena[R] Thin Clients, a leading developer of embedded hardware and software in server based Refers to hardware or software that runs in the server. Contrast with client based.  computer networks of the European Thin Client market, signed a cooperation agreement with Iskra, a leading company on the Electronic Cash Registers engineering market in Russia on 20th March 2007 at Cebit, Hannover, Germany

Iskra has been evaluating Athena[R] Thin Clients and testing Athena[R] Thin Clients equipments for over 2 years. After comparing with other Thin Clients world widely, Iskra believes Athena[R] has high quality components, high performance main board and very reliable service support. Therefore it decided to start cooperating with Athena[R] Thin Clients by purchasing T3117F (with Touch Screen) for usage throughout the Russian territory.

 the cooperation agreement, Iskra is going to purchase Athena[R] T3117F for two Kiosks types and the expected sales will be $2.3 Million in 2007 and approximately $7.8 Million in 2008. The T3117F's main board is based on the new VIA CN700 1 GHz chipset. Athena[R] T3117F has been recognized by lots of Athena[R] Thin Clients' customers as a very stable TFT (Thin Film Transistor) The term typically refers to active matrix screens on laptop computers.
