Atco Prop. to renovate public spaces at 630 Third Avenue.

 Properties & Management, Inc. has begun a major renovation of the public spaces at 630 Third Ave. Located at the southwest corner of 41st Street, the 24-floor, 225,000 SF building's facade, entranceway and lobby will be upgraded and modernized mod·ern·ize

. The building is currently home to numerous small- to mid-sized professional firms, including accounting, legal, travel, media and insurance companies.

New stone and granite columns and spandrels will be added to the building to transform the look of the facade from a one-dimensional appearance into a two-story, main floor effect.  DiCapua, one of the ways in which Atco stands apart from the rest of the real estate community is by installing televisions in the main lobby of buildings undergoing renovations, such as 630 Third Ave., a feature that tenants very much appreciate.

Jay B. Walter Architect is serving as the architect for the project, which is slated for completion in June 2001.
