Atari Brings the Magic of the Upcoming Peter Pan Motion Picture to the Game Boy Advance; The Classic Epic Adventure Comes To Life in New Video Game and Movie.

The action of one of this holiday's highly-anticipated movies comes to life in an action adventure game, Atari, Inc. (Nasdaq:ATAR) announced today. Shipping to retail stores nationwide this week, Peter Pan: The Motion Picture Event for Game Boy(R) Advance, captures all of the action and excitement of the upcoming Universal Pictures, Columbia Pictures and Revolution Studios film of the same name, taking players on a magical journey with Peter Pan from his first meeting with Wendy until the final confrontation with Captain Hook
"Captain Hook" is also a nickname for former baseball manager Sparky Anderson.
Captain James Hook is the villain of J. M. Barrie's play and novel Peter Pan. Hook is a pirate captain and Peter Pan's nemesis.

In the Peter Pan game, kids play as the main character, solving puzzles, collecting various items, avoiding threatening obstacles, and sword-fighting with dangerous enemies. Players take part in the action as the storyline unfolds with Peter, Wendy, John, Michael, Tinker Bell, and the Lost Boys, as they try to defeat Captain Hook and his Pirates. The game features scenes from the film and additional pop-up information that help establish the storyline on each level. As Peter Pan, players can run, fly, jump, dive, roll, fight and earn bonus points and extra lives by collecting special objects throughout the game.
