Based on Major Motion Picture

Atari, Inc., DreamWorks and Intel Corporation (company) Intel Corporation - A US microelectronics manufacturer. They produced the Intel 4004, Intel 8080, Intel 8086, Intel 80186, Intel 80286, Intel 80386, Intel 486 and Pentium microprocessor families as well as many other integrated circuits and personal computer networking  announced today that they have formed a unique collaboration to develop and co-market a groundbreaking interactive game that will marry epic animated adventure with the latest innovation in PC technology.

"Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas" is an interactive action game based on the upcoming DreamWorks animated action adventure film of the same name, opening in theaters nationwide on July 2. Unlike most previous PC games based on movies, the "Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas" game is being created in collaboration with one of the film's directors, Patrick Gilmore. Gilmore is making his directorial debut on "Sinbad" after a ten-year career developing and producing video games See video game console. .

"Diving back into a game production after more than three years, it's amazing to me how much the technology has kept up. It is exciting to work with two companies that are at the forefront of advancing technology and are capable of meeting the major challenges of bringing our film to life for gamers," said Gilmore, director of the motion picture "Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas."

The game is being developed to take full advantage of the Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 processor with Hyper-Threading (HT) Technology. Intel's HT Technology allows the PC's processor to perform multiple complex tasks at the same time with greater responsiveness. Consumers that play the game on a PC enabled with HT Technology will experience higher quality character models, more detailed animation and more dynamic game environments that uniquely capture the beauty and adventure of the film. As an example, HT Technology will immerse players deeper into the world of Sinbad by letting them see things such as the wind filling the sails of Sinbad's ship and the shape of the deep sea waves as he embarks on his adventure.

"Intel's goal is to bring the most exciting content to the PC," said Ann Lewnes, vice president, Sales and Marketing Group, and director, Intel Inside(R) Program and Co-Marketing, Intel. "Our innovative technology is enabling the creative community and software developers to advance the quality of content and bring consumers a new 'wow' experience on their powerful home PC."
