At the half: 'economy at midyear' luncheon readied.


An outline of what to expect from the economy in the second half of 2009 and into 2010, focusing on the current New Hampshire, national and global economies and whether recovery from recession is in sight, will be presented by Joseph Quinlan, managing director and chief market strategist of the Investment Strategies Group for Bank of America, at the Business and Industry Association's annual "Economy at Midyear" event.

The luncheon event, which is presented by Bank of America and media sponsor New Hampshire Business Review, will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. June 24 at the Center of New Hampshire, Manchester.

Quinlan oversees the development and implementation of investment strategies and solutions for the various channels of global wealth and investment management for Bank of America. In this role, he develops, communicates and executes the firm's investment strategy domestically and globally. With nearly 20 years of financial services experience, he most recently served as a senior global economist/strategist for Morgan Stanley.

Quinlan also lectures on finance and global economics at New York University, where he has been a faculty member since 1992.
