Associations across America contribute in myriad ways to the betterment bet·ter·ment

1. An improvement over what has been the case: financial betterment.

2. Law An improvement beyond normal upkeep and repair that adds to the value of real property.
 of society. They seek to advance their trades and professions through such activities as accreditation and educational programs. They provide critically important information that helps the public - via the media - better understand key issues. They also make their mark in their own communities by lending their expertise and energy to important service projects.
