FULL replacement value for lost or damaged items is among several changes to take effect in October October: see month.  as part of a new program called Families First.

Under the current claims process, Soldiers receive a depreciated Depreciated may refer to:
  • Depreciation, in finance, a reference to the fact that assets with finite lives lose value over time
  • Depreciated is often confused or used as a stand-in for "deprecated"; see deprecation for the use of depreciation in computer software
 value for lost or damaged property. A $200 television, for example, might be valued at $100 after depreciation.

With Families First, "the carrier will either replace the television with a similar one or reimburse re·im·burse

1. To repay (money spent); refund.

2. To pay back or compensate (another party) for money spent or losses incurred.
