It's a coffeehouse, art gallery, pizza place and publishing house. So it's only fitting organizers would jam more than one show into a night. On Thursday, Cozmic Pizza, 199 W. Eighth Ave., will host David Boone David Boone was an All-Star Canadian Football League defensive lineman, winner of 5 Grey Cups. Boone graduated from Eastern Michigan University and was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings. In that time, they have opened for KRS ONE KRS ONE Knowledge Reigns Supreme Over Nearly Everyone , the Living Legends, Chuck D and many others. Genus Pro focuses on delivering an eclectic live show that's conscious and progressive, according to the group's bio. Showtime is 9 p.m., and admission is $5. The WOW Hall is at 291 W. Eighth Ave. The Swing States Road Show Today, Cozmic Pizza The leader of the Swing States Road Show, Lea Jones, will be fresh off his Thursday gig with his old band the Tones when he takes the stage today at Cozmic Pizza. Jones says the road show is a "high-energy mix of fun, funny, upbeat and deadly serious GOP-bashing parody and original acoustic folk and swing tunes." He will start the night off with a few nonpolitical selections, then go straight in to the Bush-bashing that audiences have come to expect. The Swing States Road Show is a fixture on the East Coast, where Jones now lives. It will make this rare West Coast appearance in support of the band's second CD, "Houseclean- ing." Jones lived in Eugene for 15 years. He also performed with Slow Buck, the Whimpering Victims of Love and as a solo artist in many Eugene Celebrations. He now lives near Baltimore, but tries to visit the Pacific Northwest whenever possible. The music will begin at 7:30 p.m. Stairway Denied Saturday, Quacker's Corvallis Led Zeppelin tribute band Stairway Denied says that unlike other tribute bands, it does not attempt to recapture the glamour of the band.
