Asymptomatic tympanosclerosis. (Otoscopic clinic).This is the otoscopic view of a left ear in a patient with no complaints or findings. The long process of the malleus malleus /mal·le·us/ (mal´e-us) [L.] the outermost of the auditory ossicles, and the one attached to the tympanic membrane; its club-shaped head articulates with the incus mal·le·us n. pl. lies vertically in the superior half of the pars tensa. The entire pars tensa is moderately opaque, thus preventing structures within the tympanum tympanum (tĭm`pənəm).
