Clark and Marc Andreessen <marca@netcom. to incorporate key technologies from Netscape ONE open network environment in Asymetrix SuperCede Verb 1. supercede - take the place or move into the position of; "Smith replaced Miller as CEO after Miller left"; "the computer has supplanted the slide rule"; "Mary replaced Susan as the team's captain and the highest-ranked player in the school" interactive development environment for ActiveX and Java. SuperCede is the world's first and only ActiveX and Java development environment which allows developers to modify running applications. This can increase a developer's productivity up to five times. The first SuperCede product, SuperCede for Java, is a visual, interactive development environment that enables developers to rapidly construct high speed Java applets and applications. A beta version will be available from the Asymetrix web site (www.asymetrix.com) in early September. A combined ActiveX and Java version will be available early in 1997.
