Asuragen, Inc. Raises $18.5 Million in Series B Financing.


AUSTIN, Texas -- Asuragen, Inc., a privately held molecular diagnostics company and molecular biology molecular biology, scientific study of the molecular basis of life processes, including cellular respiration, excretion, and reproduction. The term molecular biology was coined in 1938 by Warren Weaver, then director of the natural sciences program at the Rockefeller  service provider, announced that it has secured $18.5 million in Series B financing. This funding round comes on top of a $49 million Series A round the Company closed in March 2006.
