Astronaut loses tools; SPACE.

 - and watched helplessly as it floated away.

Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper dropped the bag while repairing a solar panel on the International Space Station.

She was heard to mumble: "Oh great. Lost bag."

Mission Control told Heidemarie, part of the crew on the space shuttle space shuttle, reusable U.S. space vehicle. Developed by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), it consists of a winged orbiter, two solid-rocket boosters, and an external tank.  Endeavour, to carry on and share a colleague's toolbag as they worked on a jammed joint.

The toolbag is said to be one of the largest items lost in space by an astronaut.
