The SP1000 family of products is ideally suited to meet the needs of a wide variety of applications including internet access, video conferencing, corporate intranets with drop and insert In a multichannel transmission system, a drop and insert is a process that diverts (drops) a portion of the multiplexed aggregate signal at an intermediate point, and introduces (inserts) a different signal for subsequent transmission in the same position, e.g.  options for PBX to PBX connections, and data networks. Incorporating the optional WAN monitoring port, the SP1000 connects directly to Emcom's NET/QC WAN management system.
