Astro-Med signed the contract with SAGEM SAGEM Societe d'Applications Generales d'Electricite et de Mecanique S.A., a corporation located in Paris, France. Under the terms of the contract, Astro-Med will supply the ToughWriter ruggedized thermal printers. Designed to print hard copies of data received by the pilot including air traffic controller instructions, weather information, and detailed airport maps, the printers will be located in the cockpit close to the pilot so that he will have instant access to printouts. The ToughWriters use a standard A4 or B4 paper size and utilize PostScript 3(R) printer language. Commenting on the contract, Everett V.
