The Toughwriter III printers will print instant hard copies of all data received by the airborne crew including air traffic controller instructions, e-mail, etc.

With its small footprint and all-in-one design the Toughwriter III will be installed in the cockpit of the C17 Globemaster airplane where space is at a premium. The hard copy output is in easy-to-read Postscript format, and is intended to help minimize communications misunderstandings between the cockpit crews and ground based air traffic controllers.
