The Grass-Telefactor Product Group of Astro-Med, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALOT) has announced the introduction of a powerful, low cost system for sleep studies. Designated Sonoma(TM), the compact system combines modular, high-performance amplifiers with a powerful, yet easy to use software program called Gamma(R), and a revolutionary Computer Assisted Sleep Staging system called CAST(TM).

The company believes the Sonoma will make significant inroads in the rapidly growing sleep study (PSG) market. Following in the highly successful footsteps of the Albert Grass Heritage(TM) PSG and the portable Colleague(TM) PSG, the Sonoma offers features unique to the Grass PSG product line, at a substantially lower cost.

The sleep study market is growing at an annual rate in excess of 20%. Many sleep disorders that have gone undiagnosed in patients for years are now easily diagnosed and treated utilizing today's technologies. The Sonoma PSG, as well as other Grass-Telefactor models, are rapidly becoming instruments of choice in the sleep study arena.
