) today released an all new, high-speed, direct-digital short-run label printer that produces photo quality labels on roll-fed stock. The culmination of three years of R&D, the Vivo!, as it is called, is an extraordinarily advanced machine, designed for printing "primary" product labels.

The Vivo!'s cost per label rivals that of flexographic label printing, while its direct digital high speed printing decreases turnaround time (1) In batch processing, the time it takes to receive finished reports after submission of documents or files for processing. In an online environment, turnaround time is the same as response time.  for label jobs. The company believes the Vivo! will create opportunities for printing retail display labels on-demand for "packaging products on a just-in-time basis", according to according to

"Companies are now able to handle rush orders that require custom packaging - private label, store brand, and foreign market orders - and print special product labels in-house and ship their products to market all on the same day," said Ondis.

Moderate to high volume "short run" label printing jobs are the forte of the Vivo! It is cost-competitive with flexographic and other offset printing as well as other direct digital printing presses on label jobs of up to 15,000 labels per batch, based on a 4" x 6" size label with a medium amount of ink coverage The amount of ink used by a laser-class or inkjet printer depends on the type of document printed. A vendor's estimate of ink cost is typically based on a business document with a rather low 3 to 5% coverage. If you print full pages, the estimates are not going to be accurate. , according to company research.

The Vivo!'s print is glossy, vibrant and highly durable, abrasion-resistant, fade-resistant, moisture-resistant, and solvent-resistant. An electrophotographic process similar to laser printing is used, but incorporates reliable and efficient LEDs (light emitting diodes) rather than lasers. Printing supplies for the Vivo! consist of cyan, magenta, yellow, and black-colored toner and rollstock labels developed for accurate color reproduction, and are also provided by QuickLabel Systems.

Customers who participated in the company's Vivo! beta-testing program were very impressed with the cost-effectiveness and productivity of the printer. Kevin Timothy, President of Park Premium Beverages, Claymont, DE, www.parkbev.com, said that his ROI (Return On Investment) The monetary benefits derived from having spent money on developing or revising a system. In the IT world, there are more ways to compute ROI than Carter has liver pills (and for those of you who never heard of that expression, it means a lot).  expectation influenced his decision to purchase a Vivo! According to Timothy, the machine will have paid for itself after 3,000 cases, or around 3 months.

Timothy went on to describe the importance of label print quality to his promotional product business, stating: "Quality for Park Premium Beverages is of utmost importance. Our position as a premium product provider calls for us to supply the best possible label on the bottle and we've found that the Vivo! printer provides that quality at a reasonable price."

Ondis continued, "the Vivo! adds a new dimension to QuickLabel's printer line. While we previously targeted industrial product label printing applications, we now have an equally ideal solution for consumer product label printing in high volumes of short-runs.

"The combination of photo-quality printing, high-volume productivity, and low-cost printing make the Vivo! very attractive to companies that have a need for rapid-turnaround, short-run packaging," continued Ondis.

The Vivo! will be sold at a list price of $24,995 USD USD
