The Grass-Telefactor Product Group of Astro-Med, Inc. (NASDAQ:ALOT) introduces TWin(TM) 2.0 software, a sophisticated, universal neurophysiological software package. The TWin 2.0 package features acquisition, review, analysis, report generation, and versatile database capabilities. A major innovation in TWin 2.0 is the powerful, integrated database that tracks patient and study information, as well as managing the daily operation of the lab from reading the study to report generation and archiving. The database is extremely flexible, and was designed to allow easy customization by the end user.

TWin 2.0 offers an extremely user-friendly configuration to best suit the needs of many applications, including long term epilepsy monitoring, EEG, sleep monitoring (PSG), and ambulatory monitoring. A Windows(R)-based program, the package provides increased acquisition and review functionality to all Telefactor systems, offering turn-key convenience and specialized functions. These systems include the Beehive(TM) series of long term epilepsy monitors, the compact D/EEG-32(TM) hospital-based digital EEG and sleep monitoring system, and H2O(TM) (home to office) ambulatory sleep and EEG monitoring system.

Built-in network compatibility provides instant access to data, as well as real-time monitoring of ongoing studies. A powerful selection of tool bar buttons lets the user view waveforms and change display parameters on-the-fly. Specific sections of data can be easily selected for further analysis, including frequency and amplitude measurements, potential mapping, real-time spectral analysis, and frequency band mapping. Its export functions simplify the output of raw data, graphics and text to standard formats (including ASCII), as well as to Microsoft Office(TM) programs for professional-looking, user definable reports.

TWin 2.0 also adds DVD as an archiving option, in addition to standard CD archiving. The list of archive jobs is stored in the TWin 2.0 database, and is accessible for observation and editing by any TWin 2.0 user in a network configuration.
