The only way to stand out in today's cluttered marketplace is to build your product or service into a brand. Laura Ries, co-author and co-founder of Ries & Ries, will share a few of the branding secrets from her best-selling book, The 22 Immutable Laws of Branding: How to Build a Product or Service into a World-Class Brand (September 1998, HarperCollins), at a live Web conference sponsored by Astound on Friday, September 24th, at 1:30 PDT (4:30 EDT).

Co-authored with her father and partner, noted marketing strategist Al Ries, The 22 Immutable Laws of Branding is the definitive text on branding -- translating complex principles and theories into twenty-two easy-to-read chapters. Included in the book are extraordinary branding strategies from the world's best -- including Coca-Cola, Xerox, BMW, Federal Express, and Starbucks. Visitors to the conference will be treated to the first five immutable laws of branding, including topics on scope, focus, publicity, advertising, and the art of owning a word in the minds of consumers.

Ms. Ries' speaking engagement is the second in a series of free live speaker conferences, sponsored by Astound Conference Center. Attendees can access the seminar directly from their desktops through the Astound Web site. For registration information, refer to www.astound.com. Attendance is on a first-come first-serve basis.
