Asthma and air purifiers.A randomised Adj. 1. randomised - set up or distributed in a deliberately random way randomized irregular - contrary to rule or accepted order or general practice; "irregular hiring practices" controlled study of purified air administered to the 'breathing zone' at night to people with allergic asthma found that active treatment over 10 weeks resulted in improved health-related quality of life compared with placebo. The novel treatment used temperature-related laminar laminar /lam·i·nar/ (lam´i-nar) 1. pertaining to a lamina or laminae. 2. laminated. 3. of, pertaining to, or being a streamlined, smooth fluid flow. airflow with a very low particle concentration directed to the breathing zone of sleeping teenagers and young adults with mild to moderate allergic asthma.
