The February 9 morning edition of the newspaper reported that the two companies have been in the final stage of discussion on the acquisition of Zepharma, Astella Pharma's subsidiary, by Taisho Pharmaceutical.

However, the two companies have issued a comment that they are constantly exploring ways to improve their business values but have not engaged in any concrete discussions.
