The new release delivers a more flexible environment, empowering service organizations with the ability to easily customize DISPATCH-1 and integrate the system with next-generation features and technology. With the release of DISPATCH-1 7.0, Astea continues to provide field service operations with an automation solution that offers comprehensive functionality, supported by leading-edge technology and industry expertise.

The basis of Release 7.0 is a new object-based architecture that facilitates the use of common interface elements throughout the DISPATCH-1 system. This new architecture provides customer service organizations with the flexibility to independently customize user interface screens and screen flows to reflect their unique service processes. Users can make a wide range of customizations to the system without impacting the core product or source code. The architecture also ensures a consistent user interface, based on screen templates, which expedites system training and deployment throughout the enterprise and enables all departments throughout the enterprise to leverage the DISPATCH-1 system as their common platform for collecting, analyzing and using customer-related information.

DISPATCH-1 7.0's broadened GUI improves the ability of service providers to effectively manage all primary points of customer contact within the customer support and service modules of the product suite. Through the event driven GUI, end-users of the system can respond quickly to customer needs by collecting and retrieving customer information more efficiently, a factor that is critical to the success of dynamic, high-performance service environments.

"Through Release 7.0's enhanced flexibility and ease-of-use, field service organizations can provide custom-tailored support to their customers in a more responsive manner. In addition, we have developed a technology base that will facilitate and support future releases as we constantly enhance the functionality of the DISPATCH-1 product suite. With the release of DISPATCH-1 7.0, we are continuing to evolve our products so that they meet the changing demands of the marketplace," stated David Sherr, Astea's vice president of development.

DISPATCH-1 7.0 is currently available for approximately $3,000 to $5,000 per seat, depending on the level of functionality being deployed. -0-
