Astar Electronics Launches Line of Widescreen LCD HDTVs; New 32'' LCD HD Ready Television/Monitor Is Latest in the Aluminum Series.


BALDWIN PARK, Calif. -- Astar Electronics, a division of KXD Technology of Shenzhen, China, recently announced the release of its LTV LTV

 3201, a 32" widescreen, LCD (Liquid Crystal Diode) HDTV (High Definition TV) A set of digital television (DTV) standards that offer the highest resolution and sharpest picture. Although some HDTV sets are available in standard (rather square) screen sizes, the overwhelming majority of sets are wide screen, which eliminates  -- the latest in a series of flat screen, high definition quality televisions.

Highlights of the Astar LTV 3201 include an Aluminum framed chassis and table stand, glass frame and built-in speakers, a viewing angle of 170 H/170 W, allowing for viewing from virtually anywhere in a room and a resolution of 1366 x 768. It is a progressive scan set with an aspect ratio of 16:9, it has display capabilities of 480i, 480p, 720i and 1080i and a 216 channel CATV (Community Antenna TV) The original name for cable TV. It used a single antenna at the highest location in the community in order to deliver a quality signal to homes in areas with hilly terrain or other interference. .
