) to renew FSA's 2006 reinsurance The contract made between an insurance company and a third party to protect the insurance company from losses. The contract provides for the third party to pay for the loss sustained by the insurance company when the company makes a payment on the original contract.  contracts, effective January 1, 2006. The terms and conditions of the contracts are confidential but are similar to the prior year's contracts. The actual premiums that will be assumed by Assured Guaranty Re Ltd. and Assured Guaranty Corp. from FSA will depend on a variety of factors, including market conditions, pricing and the volume and types of business written by FSA in 2006.
