Assured Guaranty Corp. Appoints Lorne Potash as Director in its Structured Credit Group.

NEW YORK -- Assured Guaranty Corp. ("AGC"), a subsidiary of Assured Guaranty Ltd. (NYSE:AGO), is pleased to announce the appointment of Lorne Potash as Director in AGC's Structured Credit Group. Mr. Potash will focus on AGC's structured credit and structured insurance businesses and will report to Paul Livingstone, Managing Director of the Structured Credit and CDO Group. Mr. Potash joins Assured Guaranty Corp. from Ambac Assurance Corp., where he was a Vice President in the Commercial Asset-Backed Securities group. In this capacity, he was responsible for originating and negotiating securitizations and leveraged lease commercial asset-backed security transactions, including aircraft and railcars. Prior to his position at Ambac, he was a Director in the Global Structured Finance group at Andersen Corporate Finance, LLC where he arranged and advised lessees on various big-ticket leasing transactions, including energy assets and real estate in the U.S. and Europe.

Mr. Potash is a CFA(R) charterholder and a Certified Public Accountant. He graduated from the Ivey School of Business Administration at the University of Western Ontario.
