Energy Editors/Business Editors

CALGARY, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 12, 2003

Assure Energy, Inc. (OTCBB OTCBB

See OTC Bulletin Board (OTCBB).
: ASUR) is pleased to announce commencement of its Fall 2003 Multi Well Drilling Well drilling is the process of drilling a hole in the ground for the extraction of a natural resource such as ground water, natural gas, or petroleum. Drilling for the exploration of the nature of the material underground (for instance in search of metallic ore) is best described  Program in Canada's Western Sedimentary Basin The term sedimentary basin is used to refer to any geographical feature exhibiting subsidence and consequent infilling by sedimentation.  Quarry Oil & Gas Limited (Quarry) plan to drill 4 gas wells, 4 oil wells and 2 oil and gas test wells. Of the 10 wells targeted to be drilled, one gas well is located in the Doe Area of Alberta, two gas wells at West Currant currant, northern shrub of the family Saxifragaceae (saxifrage family), of the same genus (Ribes) as the gooseberry bush. The tart berries of the currant may be black, white, or red; the white gooseberry becomes purple when mature. , British Columbia British Columbia, province (2001 pop. 3,907,738), 366,255 sq mi (948,600 sq km), including 6,976 sq mi (18,068 sq km) of water surface, W Canada. Harvey Lalach, President of Assure stated, "We are excited about the possibilities this program could create for Assure. At an anticipated capital expenditure that could exceed US$ $2.5 million, it is a well balanced program with a blend of development drilling expected to broaden our daily production, increase cash flow and add oil and gas reserve value with a pivotal exploration well that if successful could have significant impact on our company as a whole. The Doe Prospect test well at a target depth of 3,200 meters or almost 2 miles down, is a deep test in an area known to reward drillers with large natural gas reservoirs and prolific flow rates. Over $1.5 million of seismic data, land costs and geological mapping and exploration has been expended on the prospect and we have been privileged to farm-in with a senior and experienced partner in 9 sections of land with multi zone potential. Our prospect is located in the coveted cov·et

Doe Prospect, Alberta

Assure O&G is participating in a farm out agreement to drill a natural gas test well to approximately 3,200 meters (9,754 feet) to the Wabamun zone. By paying 40% of the costs to drill, Assure O&G will earn a 40% interest before payout subject to an overriding royalty (sliding scale slid·ing scale

and 10 km's east of the British Columbia/Alberta border. The prospect area is situated between two significant natural gas accumulations associated with the Upper Devonian Wabamun Group.

The Geological Survey The term geological survey can be used to describe both the conduct of a survey for geological purposes and an institution holding geological information.

These dolomitized areas are the primary reservoirs for natural gas fields This list of natural gas fields includes major fields of the past and present.

On the British Columbia side, the historic Parkland Wabamun 'A' pool was discovered in 1956. The pool had original gas in place of 225 billion cubic feet (BCF BCF Billion Cubic Feet

) and the discovery well has produced 109 BCF to date. In Alberta, the Gordondale area is a more recent discovery for natural gas associated with the Wabamun formation. The reserves associated with the Alberta Wabamun pools discovered in 2000, range from 5 BCF to 25 BCF with initial production rates ranging between 5 million cubic feet per day (mmcf/d) and 15 mmcf/d.

West Current Area Prospect, British Columbia

This Quarry property covers approximately 2,105 acres of 100% owned land with multi-zone potential in the Gething, Charlie Lake, Cecil and Halfway Formations. Quarry has acquired over 30 kilometers of 2D seismic and during 2002 drilled a discovery natural gas that is currently producing. These lands are adjacent to infrastructure and pipeline systems. Assure's exploration drilling is expected to add significant reserve value to this prospect.

Rigel Prospect, British Columbia

Quarry has a 100% working interest before payout and 50% working interest after payout in this prospect that comprises approximately 11,295 gross acres (6,752 net) of farm in land and 1,404 gross acres (702 net) of earned land in the heart of Cretaceous gas productive channels. This land contains multi-zone prospects in the Gething, Charlie Lake, Cecil and Halfway Formations. Seismic data has assisted in defining follow up drill locations.

Ribstone Prospect, Alberta

Quarry has a 100% working interest before payout and a 50% after payout in 960 gross acres (480 net) in 20 producing oil wells from the Sparky spark·y

Lloydminister Prospect, Saskatchewan

This prospect covers approximately 3,200 gross acres (1,920 net) along the provincial border of Alberta and Saskatchewan. Westerra owns a 60% working interest in producing gas wells and interests ranging from 50% to 100% in producing oil wells. Westerra also has a 100% working interest before payout and 50% working interest after payout of farm in rights on this property. Westerra's lands are within the Lloydminster heavy oil accumulation, a discontinuous discontinuous /dis·con·tin·u·ous/ (dis?kon-tin´u-us)

The Mannville Group varies from 150-200 meters in thickness and is divided into nine formations, of which five formations, the Colony, McLaren, Waseca, Sparky, and General Petroleum formations are believed prospective on Company lands. On neighboring lands, the Colony, Sparky and Dina sandstones have produced natural gas and the Colony, McLaren, Waseca, Sparky, General Petroleum, Rex, Lloydminster and Cummings sandstones have produced heavy oil.
