He has authored several publications and book chapters. His outstanding abilities will serve him well in the years ahead."

According to Dr. Taylor, "I have had an interest in electrophysiology since the latter part of my second year in medical school whereby I had an opportunity to conduct clinical research with Dr. Levi Watkins relating to the implantable cardioverter defibrillator defibrillator, device that delivers an electrical shock to the heart in order to stop certain forms of rapid heart rhythm disturbances (arrhythmias). The shock changes a fibrillation to an organized rhythm or changes a very rapid and ineffective cardiac rhythm to a . This rich clinical experience piques my interest, and I went on to not only pursue more electrophysiological research, but also to choose it as my career. I feel that Dr. Hugh Calkins can provide excellent career guidance and mentorship. More importantly, with the assistance of ABC ABC
