The Association For Enterprise Integration (AFEI AFEI Association For Enterprise Integration ) is a professional organization that promotes the ethical and legal exchange of information between government and industry through conferences, working groups and publications. Our members address the topics and concerns of network-centric enterprises desiring to realize superiority of information, to hasten business transformation and to improve systems performance.

What is Enterprise Integration?

Enterprise integration brings parts of an enterprise together into a mote (reMOTE) A wireless receiver/transmitter that is typically combined with a sensor of some type to create a remote sensor. Some motes are designed to be incredibly small so that they can be deployed by the hundreds or even thousands for various applications (see smart dust).  efficient and effective whole in a network-centric environment. These parts can be related programs inside an organization, companies coming together for a specific project, multiple participants in a value chain, or government agencies providing homeland security Noun 1. * Educate our members on policies, programs, processes and technologies driving enterprise integration.

* Advocate industry positions on enterprise integration to Congress and the Executive Branch of government.

* Connect industry and government executives to work on topical issues critical to our nations security and economic health.

* Resolve issues concerning business practices, standards and technology through committees and working groups.

* Advise industry and government on issues related to e-business and e-government.
