Associated Press Expands Software License with InfoDesk, a Developer of Real-Time Content Distribution Technology.

The expanded license enables the news cooperative to use InfoDesk's software to provide non-AP, third-party content to its members and customers.

Under its original agreement with InfoDesk, AP was able to use the content management and delivery tools developed by InfoDesk, specifically InfoViewer and InfoClient, to deliver AP branded content Branded Content, also known as Branded entertainment and Advertainment, is a relatively new form of advertising medium that blurs conventional distinctions between what constitutes advertising and what constitutes entertainment. . The new agreement enables AP to distribute any third-party, non-AP content in any fashion.

As a result of the expanded license agreement, AP Telecommunications Communicating information, including data, text, pictures, voice and video over long distance. AP Digital and AP Information Services See Information Systems. , both commercial AP divisions, will also expand the use of InfoDesk applications to provide both AP and non-AP originated content to customer Web sites and other interactive applications.
