Associated Global Systems Associated Global Systems (AGS) began business in 1958 operating as a domestic and international air freight forwarder. AGS is a client based, privately held 50 million dollar company.  (AGS AGS American Geriatrics Society. ) today announced that it has extended its successful e-Commerce Heavyweight heavyweight - High-overhead; baroque; code-intensive; featureful, but costly. Introduced late last year, the program has already shown that it can substantially reduce costs for both e-tailers and b2b marketers on shipments upward of more than; above.

In each of the seven European nations added to the program, delivery is on a time-definite basis. An alert to the appropriate AGS overseas office describes the incoming shipment, its in-transit status and its requirements; arrangements for customs clearance and for delivery to the ultimate destination are all in place well before the shipment's arrival.

services initially announced as part of the program are available for overseas delivery as well. Among these are special packing, two-man delivery teams, unpacking at customers' sites, installation and testing of products, recovery and return of defective merchandise, and off-hour pickup and delivery.

Also, available are AGS' unique on-line tracking capabilities. Unlike carriers who limit e-marketers to an air bill number for tracking purposes, AGS gives companies the added options of tracking through the AGS web site using their own product, order or customer reference numbers.

The AGS program can be fully customized to an individual e-marketer's specific needs. It offers a complete menu of cost/speed delivery options, both domestically and abroad. The program has been made available to catalog catalog, descriptive list, on cards or in a book, of the contents of a library. Assurbanipal's library at Nineveh was cataloged on shelves of slate. The first known subject catalog was compiled by Callimachus at the Alexandrian Library in the 3d cent. B.C.  marketers as well.

"We're very encouraged by the enthusiasm with which the AGS e-commerce Heavyweight Delivery Services program has been greeted," says Norman Freeman, AGS founder/president.

"The seven European countries to which we have just extended the program is only the beginning. We have the global resources already in place to rapidly expand the program into every country that we serve, and to make it the first truly worldwide service for the world wide web."
