The Society is a standards development organization for the engineering of powered vehicles of all kinds, including (SAE) World Congress & Expo in March. In addition to the exhibit, the AFS Technical Dept. coordinated a metalcasting track as part of the SAE Congress. This metalcasting track was expanded from one day to a two-day track with 23 papers presented. One of the papers was recognized at the Honors Convocation Luncheon on March 4 during this year's show.
