Asset Management Finance Expands Executive Team; Hires Rick Haywood as Head of Business Origination, Alexander von York as Head of Risk Management and Research.

Asset Management Finance Corp. (AMF), a company formed to provide innovative financial solutions for owners of investment management firms, is pleased to announce the appointments of Richard H. Haywood, Jr. as Senior Vice President and Head of Business Origination and Alexander von York as Vice President and Head of Risk Management and Research.

Mr. Haywood will assume responsibility for the transaction origination process with a particular emphasis on marketing, relationship development, due diligence, and negotiation. Mr. Haywood joins AMF from Lehman Brothers' Investment Banking Division where, as Senior Vice President, he focused exclusively on the asset management industry. Mr. von York joins AMF from Brown Brothers Harriman Investment Management, where he had been Head of Research for the firm's Asset Allocation & Multiple Advisor Strategy Group.

AMF, based in New York and Boston, is a specialized asset management finance company with a dedicated staff led by industry pioneer Norton Reamer, founder and, for twenty years, CEO of United Asset Management Corp., and is backed by National Bank Financial, a subsidiary of National Bank of Canada, one of Canada's largest banks.

AMF's senior executive team also includes Rob Jakacki, Senior Vice President responsible for structuring and underwriting, and Barry Klayman, Senior Vice President responsible for operations, finance and technology. Mr. Jakacki and Mr. Klayman are two of AMF's founding officers.

At Lehman, Mr. Haywood was responsible for marketing, relationship management, and transaction execution. Previously, Mr. Haywood was Director in charge of asset management investment banking at SG Cowen and a Vice President at Goldman Sachs, where he was a senior member of the firm's asset management investment banking group responsible for business origination, relationship management, and transaction execution.

Mr. Haywood holds a Master of Management, with distinction, from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Before Brown Brothers Harriman, Mr. von York worked in the Capital Markets group at Putnam Lovell NBF Securities Inc., a leading investment bank to the global financial services community and a sister company to AMF. While at Putnam Lovell NBF, Mr. von York worked with Mr. Jakacki and Mr. Klayman and developed the analytical framework that has become the basis for the AMF business model.

Mr. von York is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst Designation and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Wesleyan University.
