Assembly accepts official history of PCC.


Enduring Witness by John S. Moir was recognized by the assembly as the official history of The Presbyterian Church in Canada The Presbyterian Church in Canada is the name of a Protestant Christian church, of presbyterian and reformed theology and polity, serving in Canada under this name since 1875, although the United Church of Canada claimed the right to the name from 1925 to 1939. . Moderator moderator - A person, or small group of people, who manages a moderated mailing list or Usenet newsgroup. Assembly also adopted the recommendation that all Church courts and congregations be strongly encouraged to put their official records on microfilm A continuous film strip that holds several thousand miniaturized document pages. See micrographics.

 and place them in the church Archives. "We all know the maxim, those who do not remember their history are doomed to repeat it," said the Moderator. "This is a historic moment. There is now an official history of our church ... for future generations to read."
