, Jr. will be the Master of Ceremonies at the San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  Municipal Railway's 11th Annual Reception on Thursday, Jan. 26, 1995, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Oz, at the top of the Westin St. Francis Hotel The Westin St. Francis is a luxury hotel in the Union Square district of San Francisco, California. The hotel opened on March 21, 1904. The interior was destroyed in the 1906 Earthquake but the structure survived and the hotel re-opened in late 1907. .

Prominent dignitaries will laud the outstanding Muni employees who have earned top honors through the Railway's Employee Recognition Program, as well as the many private organizations that have made the Employee Recognition Program possible.

A highlight of the event will be presentation of the "Friend of the Muni" Awards. Four awards will be presented to persons or organizations outside Muni who have made significant contributions with measurable results during the last calendar year.

Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served, followed by an employee award winner drawing for three Hawaiian holidays and other prizes. San Francisco Public Transportation commissioners (including President Kay Yu and Vice President James Jefferson) will join Director of Transportation Philip Adams to honor award winners and contributors alike.

Roslyn Payne will be honored for her work spearheading the creation of a program to curb violence on Muni, and Barbara George for assisting in the development of Muni's substance abuse program.
