Assembleon and Cookson announce alliance.


Assembleon (Alpharetta, GA) and Cookson Electronics' Speedline Technologies (Franklin, MA) have joined forces to provide surface-mount technology Surface mount technology (SMT) is a method for constructing electronic circuits in which the components (SMC, or Surface Mounted Components) are mounted directly onto the surface of printed circuit boards (PCBs).  manufacturers with equipment and integrated line solutions. The companies are announcing a strategic alliance that combines the resources of both organizations--merging Assembleon's strengths in pick-and-place systems and processes and Speedline's strengths in equipment, systems and processes.
