Nunavut Territory - Management of Starfield Resources Inc. is pleased to announce assay results from hole #6 and hole #7 of the Company's Phase II drilling program on its Ferguson Lake Nickel-Copper-Cobalt-Platinum-Palladium deposit.

Holes 99-06 (#6) and 99-07 (#7) were drilled on line 11+00E into a zone of mineralization outcropping 5km east of the main Ferguson Lake deposit. Both holes encountered Nickel-Copper-Cobalt-Platinum-Palladium mineralization and further demonstrated the metaliferous horizon continues along strike and remains open to the east and at depth. To date, the Company is pleased to report a 100% success rate on every hole released during Phase I and II of the current drill program. The results of holes 99-06 and 99-07, coupled with previous Inco drill data, have increased the mineral inventory of the project and led to the identification of two new zones within the mineralized min·er·al·ize

The two zones are partially defined in the Inco data set and reinforce the company's belief in the properties high tonnage TONNAGE, mar. law. The capacity of a ship or vessel.

East Zone I drilled by Starfield during Phase I is located approximately 3.5km east of the main deposit within the mineralized Amphibolite/Hornblendite unit beneath the lake near its eastern shoreline. East Zone II is located 5 km east of the main zone and is partially defined by the two drill holes released today 99-06 and 99-07.

consultant, has conducted a thorough review of both the recently acquired historic Inco data set and Starfield's Phase I and Phase II drilling programs. This review has resulted in a substantial increase to the mineral inventory of the property. Starfield will conduct further drilling to confirm Dr. Carter's findings and to assess the Cobalt content of the zones not reported in Inco's data set.

In review of East Zone I, Dr. Carter assessed previous holes FL99-01 and FL99-05 which were drilled into the East zone of mineralization that outcrops on the east shore of the lake and runs beneath the lake several kilometres. These holes, located on line 4+00W, were drilled central to 15 widely spaced Inco holes, returning good base and precious metal grades over hole lengths of 7.6m and 11.1m. Dr. Carter has identified a possible resource of 2.6 million tonnes (metric tons) grading 0.94% Copper, 0.72% Nickel nickel, metallic chemical element; symbol Ni; at. no. 28; at. wt. 58.69; m.p. about 1,453°C;; b.p. about 2,732°C;; sp. gr. 8.902 at 25°C;; valence 0, +1, +2, +3, or +4. , and 1.15g/t Palladium palladium, chemical element

+Platinum. This resource remains open along strike and to depth. Definition drilling is scheduled for this zone during the winter program.

Further analysis of historic and recent drill data by Dr. Carter indicates the presence of East Zone II, containing an additional possible resource of 1.3 million tonnes grading 0.93% Copper, 0.80% Nickel, and 1.20 g/t Palladium+Platinum. This analysis by Dr. Carter expands the total possible resource within the Ferguson Lake project to in excess of 10.3 million tonnes. In total, to date, Starfield's technical team, led by consulting geologist Tom Kraft, has traced the mineralized horizon on the Ferguson Lake project in excess of 18 kilometres.

Drill logs describe the mineralized section of holes FL99-06 and FL99-07 as disseminated disseminated /dis·sem·i·nat·ed/ (-sem´i-nat?ed) scattered; distributed over a considerable area.
