Aspyra raises $4.5 million.


Calabasas-based Aspyra Inc., which builds clinical and diagnostic information technology systems for the health care industry, announced it has raised $4.5 million through a private placement of common stock to a group of accredited investors Accredited Investor

A term used by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) under Regulation D to refer to investors who are financially sophisticated and have a reduced need for the protection provided by certain government filings. Also known as "qualified purchaser".

Last year, the company merged with Delaware-based Storcomm Inc., which became a subsidiary of Aspyra.
