Business Editors & Technology Writers

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 16, 2003

Aspirity, LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

LLC - Logical Link Control
, a leader in end-to-end fully integrated Business Intelligence solutions, is introducing its new Corporate Social Responsibility Software (CSR (1) (Customer Service Representative) A person who handles a customer's request regarding a bill, account changes or service or merchandise ordered. Agents in call centers are known as CSRs. See call center. ), a robust and scalable code compliance platform to store, sort, track, share, schedule, upload and report factory/supplier audit information.

Aspirity's Social Compliance offering enhances users' productivity by significantly improving monitoring, remediation, and audit work flow while providing enhanced reporting and analytic functions.

With Aspirity's CSR, social compliance departments are able to align their operations with various standards such as SA8000, FLA FLA Florida (old style)

among others. Social Compliance managers may now measure the efficacy of their organization's programs by centrally storing and managing data related to internal and external audits, certifications, training, and corrective action A corrective action is a change implemented to address a weakness identified in a management system. Normally corrective actions are instigated in response to a customer complaint, abnormal levels if internal nonconformity, nonconformities identified during an internal audit or  plans (CAP). This includes being able to identify risk issues, prioritize corrective measures, capture and track operations across a number of functional areas, and improve the productivity of its social compliance users. CSR also allows organizations to seamlessly share audit related data with partners, thereby further enhancing efficiency gains. A company who uses CSR will be able to assure its stakeholders that extra effort has been made to comply with Code Compliance requirements Compliance requirements are a series of directives established by United States Federal government agencies that summarize hundreds of Federal laws and regulations applicable to Federal assistance (also known as Federal aid or Federal funds). .

When Patrick Husting, Practice Manager of Aspirity, LLC, was asked why a business intelligence firm sought the development of CSR, he replied: "We can reduce corporate risk and improve efficiencies by providing an intelligent customized solution to meet our Client's corporate responsibility needs. This is a natural extension of our core competency A core competency is something that a firm can do well and that meets the following three conditions specified by Hamel and Prahalad (1990):
  1. It provides customer benefits
  2. It is hard for competitors to imitate
  3. It can be leveraged widely to many products and markets.
-- helping organizations integrate and capture data for purposeful measurements and analysis. Aspirity's partnerships with major retailers and NGOs, coupled with our technology expertise and executive management experience, makes us uniquely qualified to meet this challenge."
