Aspire Digital debuts the AD-2100PLUS, which does double duty as a complete receiverless home theater system and a high-powered 5.1 surround sound system for a computer.

Connected to a television, the AD-2100PLUS delivers power-packed 5.1 surround sound and ultra-crisp images. Connected to a computer, the user will experience music and computer video games in rich 5.1 surround sound.

 surround-sound mini-tower and center speaker set, a sleekly designed AD-130PSC-powered sub-woofer and the company's AD-1100 DVD player with progressive scan and bonus karaoke feature.

The AD-2100PLUS is packaged with a complete set of cables to connect the system to a television or DVD player. The system is also equipped with an audio combo cable. One end of the audio combo cable is a 6.3mm phono n. 1. (Zool.) A South American butterfly (Ithonia phono) having nearly transparent wings.  plug that connects to the audio speaker jack on the back of the computer. The other end is split into two connectors that plug into the left and right channel auxiliary jacks on the back of the powered subwoofer. The result is that the subwoofer splits the two-channel output from the computer, including MP3 files, into 5.1 surround sound audio output.

Sleek Mini-Tower Speaker Surround System Needs No Receiver

The AD-100MTRS mini-tower speaker set includes front and rear speakers and a center speaker capable of handling 500 watts peak power (impedance 4 ohms, speaker frequency response 250 Hz - 20 kHz). Each speaker can be controlled individually. The 19-inch-tall mini-tower design blends easily into any decor, and can be set up on a desk, or in a home office or entertainment room.

The 130-watt AD-130PSC-powered subwoofer (impedance 4 ohms, speaker frequency response 38 Hz - 300 Hz) powers the entire speaker system and provides 5.1 Dolby digital audio output directly from the AD-1100 DVD player or 5.1 speaker output from the computer via the audio combo cable. Remote controls and speaker cables are included.
