Users Can Manage Their Own Call Plan

The Call Counter battery pack places a unique new capability into the hands of each cell phone user. It lets them manage their own cell phone bill. It eliminates the risk of receiving an expensive "end of the month surprise" bill. The primary function of the Call Counter battery pack is cell phone bill management; it powers the phone as a secondary function. The first Call Counter battery pack is designed for use with Motorola MicroTAC The Motorola MicroTAC (otherwise known as MicroTac, Micro-Tac, MicroT.A.C, misspelt MicroTec or simply , Microtac (no capitalization for TAC in both cases) is a cellular phone first manufactured as an analog phone in 1989. (TM) cell phones.

The Call Counter uses patent-pending sensing technology to detect and log the time of day, the date, type (Incoming or Outgoing) and duration of each call. A microprocessor microprocessor, integrated circuit containing the arithmetic, logic, and control circuitry required to interpret and execute instructions from a computer program.  in the Call Counter battery pack constantly calculates and displays the minutes remaining in the user's Call Plan. At midnight on the customer's monthly billing date the "included minutes" are automatically reset to the full amount.

Built-In Timers Do Not Provide a Solution

It is not possible to use a built-in timer timer,

in a cell phone to manage a complex Call Plan. Today a typical monthly Call Plan might include: 120 minutes of Peak time calls, unlimited weekend calls and the first 60 minutes of Incoming calls. Built-in timers simply add all these calls together. Only the Call Counter identifies each type of call and automatically displays the "included minutes" left.

Pricing and Distribution

Suggested retail price (SRP SRP - A data link layer protocol. ) for the Call Counter battery pack is $99. At this SRP, the Call Counter occupies a premium -- but not top -- position in the cell phone battery pack line. Top position is occupied by the Lithium Ion A rechargeable battery technology introduced in 1991 that provides greater charge per pound than nickel metal hydride. In 1993, Toshiba introduced the first notebook in the U.S. with a Li-ion battery.  battery pack at well over $100. Aspire Corporation is negotiating with major battery pack manufacturers and retailers to produce and distribute the Call Counter battery pack. Interested parties should contact the company directly for further information.
