Aspera's Michelle Munson to Speak at Digital Hollywood on Tuesday, October 30th, 2007.

Panel of Industry Experts Discussing Revolution in Digital Workflow Experience

HOLLYWOOD -- Aspera Inc., software developer of industry-leading, bulk data transport technology, today announced that President and Co-Founder Michelle Munson will be speaking at Digital Hollywood on Tuesday, October 30, 2007. Ms. Munson will discuss with other panelists, how IT technologies are transforming the workflows of broadcast and post production and will address the daily challenges and opportunities of incorporating new technologies in traditional media workflows.

"The demand for creating and sharing digital content has never been greater," said Ms. Munson. "From ingest to production to distribution, today's new digital workflows depend fundamentally on basic technologies that create and move file-based media. Aspera's file transfer software solution provides fast, predictable and secure transfer of large files and data sets, even at global distances."

Ms. Munson and Serban Simu (Aspera VP of Engineering and Co-Founder) are the creators of Aspera's fasp[TM] transport technology that provides a specific, essential capability for high-speed file transfer in newly emerging all-digital workflows and supply chains. fasp provides users with the unique ability to set file transfer speeds, file priority settings and finish times. Users can also track their progress, optimizing available bandwidth control, while increasing efficiency 100x or more over standard protocols like FTP. Used throughout the industry, broadcasters, Hollywood studios, production facilities, content delivery networks (CDN's) and game developers depend on fasp to move their files and are integrating the platform into their media creation, management, and distribution systems.

Ms. Munson is participating in the panel entitled "The Revolutionized Digital Workflow Experience: Understanding How Information Technology, Broadcast & Entertainment Production Merge" from 10:45 a.m. to noon on October 30, 2007. Other panelists include Gabriele Di Piazza, Managing Director, Media & Entertainment Business, Communications Sector, Microsoft Corporation, Phil Lelyveld, former, V.P., Digital Industry Relations, The Walt Disney Company's New Technology and New Media Group, John Footen, Vice President, National TeleConsultants and Christopher Carey, CTO Technicolor, Thomson Services SBU. The panel will be moderated by Steven L. Canepa, Vice President, Global Media & Entertainment Industry, IBM Corp.
