Aspec Technology Announces Restructuring Of Executive Management Team.


SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 11, 1999--Aspec Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq:ASPCE) today announced an executive management restructuring restructuring - The transformation from one representation form to another at the same relative abstraction level, while preserving the subject system's external behaviour (functionality and semantics).  strategy with Dr. Conrad Dell 'Oca now serving exclusively as Chairman of the Board.

This action will allow Dr. Dell 'Oca to concentrate on long-term strategy and business relationships for Aspec. As part of the restructuring, the Aspec Board of Directors has appointed Douglas E. Klint as acting President and CEO. Klint is currently Vice President, General Counsel for the Company. "My role as acting President and CEO will be to provide a source of continuity for Aspec until we have secured an appropriate replacement," stated Klint.

Aspec also announced the appointment of Michael O'Malley to the position of Chief Financial Officer and acting Chief Operating Officer. O'Malley has served as a consultant to the Company since November 1998. Remarked O'Malley, "Our focus moving forward will be directed at driving the Company back to profitability."
