My older sister is really smart. She skipped a grade and still has an A+ average. I'm a B student, at best. My parents expect me to be as smart as she is. I'm not. What should I do?

Every girl has her own talents. Just because you dont have straight A's, it doesn't mean you're not smart. Some girls take tests well and find academics easy, while others show their smarts in athletic or artistic ways. You are surely better at some things than your sister is, but the two of you will drive yourselves crazy if you feel like you're in constant competition with each other. Focus on what you enjoy and excel at, and try not to compare yourself to your sister. If your parents' academic expectations are getting you down, talk to them about how that pressure makes you feel.

I like a guy who's a grade ahead of me. He's also a player. Why am I so attracted to him when I know I shouldn't be?

The age-old question: Why are girls attracted to bad boys? The answer: They're fun and charming, never mind the warning bells going off in your head when you're around this kind of guy. The thing is, attraction isn't something that checks in with your head first--you just feel it and can't deny it. That said, you don't have to act on it. Sometimes, having a crush on a bad boy is fun enough. You don't have to get involved with him if you know he might hurt you or that you're looking for a different relationship than he is. If you do act on your attraction, be careful. Make sure you're both on the same page.

I've heard nasty rumors about my friends. Should I tell her or not say anything?

This is a delicate situation. You don't want your friend to react badly and take it out on you. On the other hand, you want to have your friend's back. If things were being tossed around school about you, would you want to know or would you want your friends to keep you in the dark? Answer that and you'll know what to do.

My friend called and said she felt lazy and wanted the answers for the math homework. She begged me. I had done all the hard work while she got off easy, but I didn't want her to be mad at me. I'm not a human answer sheet though. Next time, how do I say no?

No, you're not a human answer sheet. Your friend took advantage of you once, and you can't let it happen again. She has very clearly stepped over a fine. The next time she calls to ask for homework answers, take a stand. Tell her you don't feel comfortable cheating. If she nags you for answers, hold your ground. And if she doesn't respect your wishes and gets annoyed when you refuse, re-evaluate the friendship. You don't need a "friend" who uses you for homework answers.

I did something I shouldn't have with a guy last week. I don't know how to tell my mom. Help me figure out how to tell her.

Part of growing up is making mistakes and learning from them. Although your mom may be disappointed or angry, she'll never stop loving you. So take a deep breath and tell your mom you have something you need to confess. Warn her that she won't like what she's going to hear, but let her know you don't want to hide things from her. Your relationship will only get stronger because you're able to talk about things.
