I'm a gay man, age 64. I receive many brochures for gay cruises. My dilemma is that in most places the men are 20- or 30-somethings--fit, muscular, and mostly beautiful. I don't fit into that category. I am single and looking for a gay cruise for men in their late 40s and older.

Large gay cruises offer a surprising diversity of ages, colors, and body types. The smaller, more expensive cruises tend to skew older but are usually more couples-oriented. Try one of the cruises offered by RSVP Vacations (sister company to this publication) or Atlantis Events, where you'll find literally thousands of guys from their early 20s to late 70s.

My partner and I would like to plan a sunny getaway in late winter or early spring. We've never been to Mexico City, though we've heard that there are gay-friendly sections of the city. Are there gay beaches in Mexico?

Despite the strong Catholic influence and macho culture. Mexico is becoming more and more gay friendly. In fact, the capital recently legalized civil unions for same-sex couples. As for beach resorts, my first recommendation is Puerto Vallarta, the most popular gay destination for foreigners (Acapulco remains the gay lave for Mexican citizens).
