Asic Semiconductor Announces Signoff of Viewlogic Tool Suite.

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 13, 1997--Viewlogic Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: VIEW) and ASIC Semiconductor International (Santa Clara, Calif. and an affiliate of UMC/Faraday) today announced a design solution that increases a designer's chance of hitting today's aggressive time-to-volume window.

The solution includes sign-off certification of the Viewlogic Chronologic VCS compiled Verilog simulator, Sunrise TestGen test automation tools, and MOTIVE static timing analysis.

Support for these Viewlogic products in ASIC Semiconductor International Corporation's 0.5u process is available now and the 0.35u libraries are scheduled to be qualified by the end of the first quarter in 1997.

Today, in order to meet time-to-volume demands, designers are requiring a design solution that combines high-performance simulators as well as static timing analysis and test automation tools.
