AsiaInfo Holdings, Inc. Under the terms of the contract, AsiaInfo will design and implement the national IP backbone for China Railcom, expanding network coverage from approximately 30 cities (nodes) to 128 cities (nodes).

Established in December 2000, China Railcom is one of the six licensed telecom service providers in China. With 51% of its stake owned by Ministry of Railway, China Railcom employs a staff of 69,000 people.
