The Company was represented at the meeting by: Mr. Yuan Chun-Tang (Tony), Chairman and Chief Executive Officer; Mr. Wellen Sham, acting Chief Financial Officer and Chief Planning Officer; Mr. Eric Yip, a director; and Mr. Take Wakayama, a representative of Asset Managers Co., Ltd ("AMC (Advanced Mezzanine Card) See AdvancedTCA. "), the majority shareholder in the Company. The Company announced that its gross revenue for fiscal year 2004 is just below $300 million and represents approximately a 41% increase over total revenue for 2003. The 2004 audited financial statements are expected to be available within the next 30 to 60 days. In connection with the management restructuring, Mr. Yuan Chun-Tang (Tony) was elected as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Company and two new independent directors were elected to the Board after the resignation of two prior independent directors. Mr. Wellen Sham, the acting CFO See Chief Financial Officer. of the Company, explained that the provision of $2 million in the 2004 nine-months unaudited financial statements was for doubtful accounts. Management expects that there will be an additional provision for doubtful accounts for the fourth quarter as a result of the conservative accounting approach adopted by the Company. Management believes that any additional reserves for the fourth quarter 2004 will be in the range of $1 million to $2 million. As part of its restructuring, management is implementing measures to improve cost efficiencies. The Company estimates the efficiency savings this year will be about $1 million after deduction of the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance expenses. The Company assured that any equity offering will not favor institutional investors only. The Company also noted that it has been negatively impacted by the rise of copper prices since some of its subsidiaries are operating on a cash-basis. The Company explained that by raising additional capital the Company would be able to effect copper hedging. Company management believes that the recent slow down in China's economy has not negatively impacted its operations and will be looking to expand in different markets. The Company further pointed out that its operation producing enamel wire is running close to full capacity and is expected to do well this year. The communication cables sector is the weakest of the Company's businesses due to strong supplies and weak demand. All the other sectors of the Company have seen recovery in the Pacific Rim Pacific Rim, term used to describe the nations bordering the Pacific Ocean and the island countries situated in it. In the post–World War II era, the Pacific Rim has become an increasingly important and interconnected economic region. , except for China.
