-- GlobalCenter Japan and NTT Data will develop and provide

Asia Global Crossing, GlobalCenter Japan, and NTT Data Corporation announced today an Internet data center operations agreement to develop and operate a Technology Park within the NTT Data Building in Otemachi, Tokyo that is intended to give data center customers more comprehensive service and connectivity options.

 each company's assets and expertise to better address the growing data center market in Japan by offering more comprehensive services than each company offers separately. NTT Data will contribute its experience as an application service provider (ASP), its ASP platform, and its Web System Integrator (Web SI). GlobalCenter Japan will contribute its data center development and complex web hosting service A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own websites accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing  expertise. Asia Global Crossing will extend its fiber optic network to the Technology Park to provide direct connection to more than 200 major business centers worldwide via the Global Crossing Network.

The Technology Park is now under construction and is expected to be operational by October. The agreement may eventually extend to future NTT Data facilities.
