As Ashworth, Inc. reported on December 16, 2004, the Company's consolidated net revenue for fiscal 2004, ended October 31, 2004, increased 15.8% to a record $173.1 million as compared to $149.4 million for fiscal 2003. Consolidated net income for fiscal 2004 was a record $8.2 million or $0.60 per diluted share compared to $7.3 million or $0.56 per diluted share in fiscal 2003.

Without a pre-tax gain in the second quarter on the sale of the distribution center and a pre-tax charge in connection with a lawsuit settlement during the third quarter, the Company would have reported consolidated net income of $9.1 million or $0.66 per diluted share for fiscal 2004, which would have reflected a 23.5% increase in net income for fiscal 2004 over fiscal 2003. The Company believes that excluding the effects of these non-recurring items provides additional information to investors to better understand the impact the transactions had on the Company's performance for fiscal 2004 as compared to fiscal 2003 and, therefore, the adjusted consolidated net income measure is useful to investors.
